Atlanta: The AQUARIUM

Dolphins, Penguins, String Rays…OH MY!

Welcome to the BIGGEST Aquarium in the World.

Georgia_Aquarium2014.2

If you haven’t been to the aquarium it’s a must, walking through the tunnels are like swimming with the fishes – you get to see everything so close up (even the occasional scrubber divers). They have it all, from: fish bigger than your body to sea horses smaller than your hand! It’s not just one particular animal they offer or a distinct type of climate they adhere to, there’s fresh water animals, salt water animals, and ones that live in the freezing cold (Penguins).

This could be an experience for the entire family and when it’s on sale it’s even better (scroll down to check prices)! It takes hours to finish and if you’re actually interacting with the exhibits like attending the dolphin show, or petting the sting rays, and going to each exhibit then it could take a few days – after all this is the LARGEST AQUARIUM IN THE WORLD!

If you get hungry grab a snack, or an entire meal (burgers, pizza, salad, chicken fingers – you know the deal) and get right back to it! But if you’re tired and ready to go, I get it because there’s a lot to see, but don’t miss out on the memories – go to the gift shop (which is where you’re exiting from anyway) and grab a token to have a tangible memory that’s easy to view.

  1. I like that this is a straightfoward post. There is no fluff. You tell us exactly what people want to know. Instead of having to go through hoops you directly state prices and discounts that people may not know otherwise. I also like that you included activities and what all they have animal wise!

  2. I know the Georgia aquarium is huge. I have been once and did not know they are so many creatures. I have to go back and check everything out. I did not know as a GSU student you can get a discount. Awesome! I love sharks!!! I did not know you can swim with the whale sharks. Top of my list for my next visit.
